Known for his innovative, experimental soundscapes and intricate sample-based production skills, Mark Divjak (a.k.a. Marka San) has been making waves in the industry for over a decade. The Slovenian bass music producer and DJ first gained prominence as one-half of the now-disbanded dubstep duo DubDiggerz but has since then built a successful solo career, furthering his already considerable impact on the scene. Their music debuted on esteemed labels such as GourmetBeats, run by North America's foremost Dubstep veteran Joe Nice, J:Kenzo's Artikal Music UK, Plant Power Records, Navy Cut, TRUSIK, DUPLOC and many more, spanning around eleven years of active duty and countless heavyweight basslines.
Launched in late 2020, Marka San's musical output as a DJ and producer breaks musical restraints and forms a genre-bending compound of Grime, Footwork, Dubstep, Jungle, Hip-Hop, and Electro. Founder of the renowned Dubstep imprint "DeepEnd!" and latest label creation "NO KLAN" Recordings, blurring genre boundaries in favour of musical freedom. A prolific collaborator and tastemaker through and through, Marka San also maintains two (bi-)monthly radio show residencies at Radio Noods (UK) and Radio Student (SLO), continuously showcasing his talents as a curator and selector. On top of an array of well-received releases on his imprints, notable achievements include an outing on the internationally acclaimed label Deep, Dark & Dangerous, DNO and Slovenian arts & culture hub "RX:TX".
