This week’s show is all about asymmetry. Because while Dreamboat usually departs as a duo this week Leo brought a third into the mix, making this a fractuous little polycule of an internet transmission. That’s right, this week’s Dreamboat of the Week (DOW) goes to Richie Jerimovich who had Leo all hot and bothered and capitvated while she was in sick and bed all of last week. So infatuated with the fat (see what we did there?) that Richie is frying his tight little buns in, Leo studied the whole history of Tritagonists which, it turns out, goes all the way back to Ancient Greek theatre and usually involved someone with a bass voice to add “greater character depth” (whatever that means). Anyway, alongside a new tritagonist to stir up this little deuteragonist play, we hear from Simon, who contributes to radio’s most addictive segment, Can I have a Line? Plus, essential interrogations into questions like: has global warming caught up to the Yeti? and is Yeti different to Big Foot? when might the eagle be a good emoji to use and does Leo use it well? Is a vegan allowed to eat mushrooms if they’re sentient? Follow up thought: is sentience the same as consciousness and why do people care about consciousness when really self-consciousness is what we are really concerned about (see the show in two weeks for hot rants on this!) On phones, Dan fears lacking charge, and gets all angry-gooey about the Berlin Light Festival that has added a new layer to the way political alienation has been sqeeuzed into impenetrable surface play, one melting mandala at a time. That’s right, we are gagging on alienation and asymmetry this week. But after all, it’s Tuedsays! All aboard!
