Leo is "working" in "Switzerland" so Dan would have been with his lonesome self had not the one and only Amir aka DJ Harschcut not graced the studio with his fine dapper self. Nothing screams mornings to Harschcut more than old breakup songs and nothing is more miserable than letting songs die their natural death (also known as finishing), so in one gargantuan effort to save humanity from heartbreak by freezing the full emotional content of music in the ether of the ever-interrupted, Mr Cut gives us a series of his favourite mournful, motivating and moving songs, caringly severed sometime before completion. Plus Maultrommel, this time from Mongolia, Russia and 18th century Vienna.
PLUS! Guests galore. We hear from Leo at "work" on "a train" heading to "Basel", and we have a guest SCREW TUESDAY segment from media artist and musician T. Morimoto who shares with us the reason why he hates Tuesdays alongside some of his fave screw tracks.
This week's Dreamboat of the Week (DOW) comes courtesy of Harschcut – Rupert Giles – the one time mentor of Buffy the Vampire slayer and fellow tweed-suit lover who seems pivotal before Buffy basically acquires all the skills and power she needs 120 minutes into the show, rendering him rather useless as a character beyond telling people to read books to find out what the fuck is going on. He he sure did look top in a suit and rubbing his glasses against his shirt doing so. His actor Anthony Head passed away June 1st. RIP.
