Voicing the Flamingo Revolution is a radio piece produced by KUR’AJO and created by Valentina Bonizzi and Max Parnell from within the protests currently unfolding in Albania
Recorded between demonstrations, assemblies, and conversations in Tirana, the programme follows the emergence of a movement opposing the privatisation of protected ecosystems and the transformation of public territories into sites of speculation. Environmental activists, artists, workers, students, feminists, queer collectives, and local communities come together to imagine other forms of living, caring, and deciding collectively.
Rather than speaking about the movement, this programme speaks from within it: tracing its contradictions, hopes, and political imagination as they unfold in real time.
Produced by KUR’AJO and circulated in solidarity through a growing network of independent radios, among them Cashmere Radio (Berlin), Radio Alhara (Bethlehem), and Radio Papesse (Florence)
