Music From Mullets #34 w/ Frinda di Lanco & Rune Lindbæk

I took the chance and spent some time in northern Europe – me and my partner got invited to play at beautiful Trevarefest up on Lofoten islands and we decided to drive all the way up with our freshly built camper van. Apart from walking through wet moss and fern, picking blueberries and chanterelles, we also got the chance to visit some local record shops, loppis and brukt markets as you call the thrift shops up there. In the next hour you can expect to hear a good selection of the records we found in Sweden, Norway and Denmark. It’s a quite eclectic mix and I’m happy to give you this acoustic tour through the north by listening to the records that we brought with us. 

But this show wouldn’t be complete without a guest mix. To complete this german-scandinavian cultural exchange, I asked Rune Lindbæk from Tromsø, now based in Oslo, Norway to contribute with a guest mix. Instead of "just recording a guest mix" he came up with a live session that he recorded involving his machines. Rune is gonna play you a fine selection of german gems like you never heard them before. One of his sentences stuck with me as I think it describes pretty much where he is coming from "I was in the middle of the ocean and only sea around me, and was working hard in the wild Arctic Sea while "megamixing" in my head" – Tusen takk for this epic Megamix!
